Target:
Train 20 Educators from Suren High School on understanding the concept, the tools, and approaches to understanding and identifying the early signals of radicalisation.
Training Objectives:
The key objectives of the training were to:
● Build a foundational understanding of radicalization and its related concepts.
● Identify the early signs that may indicate a shift toward extremist thinking in young people.
● Explore the motivations and behaviours that contribute to the early stages of radicalization.
● Investigate the factors that increase the appeal of extremist ideologies at an early stage.
● Understand the pathways that lead individuals from radicalization to extremism.
● Analyse individual cases to recognize early indicators of radicalization (micro-level analysis).
● Assess global trends and patterns in early radicalization (macro-level analysis).
● Understand the historical and contextual roots of radicalism in Iraq.
● Study the structure and operations of terrorist organisations, focusing on early recruitment
methods.
● Identify key components for developing a referral system to address early signs of
radicalization.
